Best Practices for Slurry Management

1) Plan Ahead: Assess the volume of slurry your project will generate and choose the appropriate containment and disposal methods. For slurry, you'll also want to keep a pH meter or pH test strips on hand to document the alkaline level of your waste. Concrete slurry often has a pH between 11 and 13.

The correct concrete washout will depend on the slurry waste you intend to produce. For small projects, an Outpak 4'x4' Washout will hold up to 30 gallons of slurry waste or up to 0.3 cubic yards. Large projects would need the Outpak 8'x12' Washout, which holds two cubic yards or 200 gallons of slurry. Outpak has four sizes of washouts available.
